THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a leading Oil & Gas Energy company to provide a Competency Assurance Specialist. Residential 5/2 office based with field visits. Contract duration 1 year (renewable). Excellent daily rates.
THE PERSON
Previous work experience as OTJ Trainer or Supervisor. Experience in competence assurance area in Oil & Gas industry. 10 years experience in Training / Development; 15 years experience in O&G industry operations activities. Develop, document, implement and monitor the TSP CAMS ensuring conforms to accreditation requirements / international best practice. Scope will cover activities / assessments, enabling documented tracking / recording systems to be implemented for the requisite Awareness and Knowledge (Underpinning knowledge) and practical skills to be developed / assessed, and fit-for-purpose national Operators and Technicians fully competent to participate in Commissioning and Start Up activities.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
HND / background in Engineering. Knowledge of OPITO style CAMS requirements as well as other O&G Industry Standard Competence Development approaches. Wide experience with foreign management / companies. Hands-on experience of implementing assessment / verification processes. Ability to respond rapidly and effectively to changing requirements on short notice. Ability to influence colleagues and stakeholders. Excellent communications and presentation (oral and written) skills. Personal qualities of flexibility, integrity and confidentiality. Fluent in written and spoken English essential.
