BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina is the joint venture operation of BHP Billiton, Japan Alumina Associates and Sojitz Alumina. As a member of the world’s largest diversified resources company, Worsley manages a bauxite mine and alumina refinery in Western Australia’s South West and offers candidates an enviable choice of lifestyle, based in the state’s picturesque South West.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for a number of routine operating and monitoring functions to support production across the site. The successful candidates will also be responsible for contributing to daily work targets, ensuring they are met safely and efficiently as well as performing plant isolations, risk assessments, permit and clearance to work activity.

Successful candidates will demonstrate an understanding of safety and operating systems and processes within an industrial environment. Previous experience (minimum of two years) in an Operator role is essential as is a current WA C class driver’s license. The role will provide excellent opportunities for successful candidates to develop skills across a broad range of tasks through on the job training and assessment.
