Coeur Alaska is recruiting a Senior Mine Engineer for its Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the life of mine plans for annual reserve statements and budgets.
Conduct economic analysis of mine plans.
Prepare the rolling three-month production and development plan.
Track actual progress against monthly and budget production and development schedules.
Track mine costs and prepare cost reports.
Supervise the preparation of the weekly mine production and development plan.
Oversee the preparation of stope reconciliation reports and stope proposals.
Prepare and present mine plans to operations and technical staff, such as sections, plans and charts and other assigned technical information as required.
Establish mine planning standards and procedures. Develop and maintain filing system for department to ensure productionrecords are organized.
Responsible for carrying out departmental goals, and supporting Coeur Alaska Inc. environmental and safety guidelines and policies.
Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or related field plus 5-7 years underground hard rock metal mine engineering experience preferred. Extensive knowledge in underground mine design, paste backfill, scheduling, economic evaluation, project management and operations experience are required. An advanced knowledge and proficiency with Vulcan mine planning software, iGantt, EPS or similar scheduling software and Microsoft office preferred. Candidates must be able to work independently and accept responsibility, communicate effectively and be tactful and professional.
