Barrick Gold Corporation is today the world's largest gold mining company. Headquartered in Toronto, Canada - Barrick currently has a portfolio of 27 mining operations, many advanced exploration projects located across five continents and a large land position on the world's most prolific and prospective mineral trends. 11 of Barrick's mining operations are found within the Australia Pacific region, with its regional head office located in Perth, Western Australia.

Darlot Gold Mine is located approximately 650 km north-east of Perth, currently producing approximately 115,000 ounces each year from our underground operations. The processing plant features 3 stage crushing, primary and secondary grinding circuits, a single leach tank, CIP circuit, IPS elution circuit and paste fill.

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified people for the position of Fixed Plant fitter for the Processing Plant. This position reports to the Mechanical Supervisor.

Duties include:
Maintaining equipment associated with CIP gold plants such as jaw and cone crushers, conveyors, screens, apron feeders, SAG and ball mills, agitators, bore water pumps, slurry pumps and gold recovery elution systems.

The successful applicant must have the following qualifications/skills:
A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
Relevant trade Qualification
Computer literacy in Microsoft programs.
A strong commitment to safety and the ability to work proactively as a team member.

The operation is fly in/fly out from Perth on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster. Excellent on-site accommodation is provided. Recreational facilities include internet café, Foxtel, swimming pool, tennis and squash courts and gymnasium.
