Our client is a construction and services contractor with diverse operations throughout Australia and selected international markets.

They are looking for a Senior Lead / Quality Engineer to work on this joint venture where they have been contracted to design and build a major project, which will be the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

Using state of the art technology, they will design and construct the project to deliver this new resource on time.

The successful candidate will preferably have extensive experience within EPCM major projects in Heavy Industry, with good analytical skills, the ability to work to deadlines, communicate accurately and timely and demonstrate through actions that safety is a top priority.

To fulfill this position you should have these essential skills:

* 5+ years relevant management experience in an engineering environment
* External auditing of Vendor / Contractor’s QA procedures and systems
* Assist in the maintenance of Project Quality Plans as directed by Project Managers and train project team members
* Assist in the review of potential Vendor / Contractor facilities and QA credentials
* Assist in the review of Vendor / Contractor ITPs, Quality Plans, etc
* Inspection of pre-fabricated materials/equipment in contractor workshops
* Internal auditing of procedures during all phases of project delivery
* Promote awareness of corporate and project procedures to project teams
