Reports to: Maintenance Department
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out Control Systems Critical Monitoring, Maintenance activities and Upgrades as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all HMI and PLC control systems.
Ensure the Security of all Critical Computer, Controls and Telecommunications Programs
Ensure all changes to Control Systems Programs or hardware are carried out in accordance with the COMPANY Management of Change Process
Principle Functions of the Position:
Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance of the main HMI Control Systems and PLC controls systems.
Manage the efficiency, storage and reporting of Data Servers.
Maintain the inventory of Control Systems spare parts and stores, ensuring correct and prompt ordering.
Safety Critical Functions
Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of Fire and Gas Systems, Shut Down Systems emergency plant controls interface and critical communications systems.
Manage the maintenance and records of safety critical elements.
Ensure that the technical integrity of the control and safety systems is maintained at all times
ERT Team Member
Experience Factors
Minimum 2 years offshore experience.
Minimum 5 years previous experience with responsibility for maintenance of DCS type controls systems.
Previous FPSO experience.
COMPETENCE CRITERIA
Academic Achievements / Certifications
Recognized technical or academic qualification
Approved instrument / control / electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training scheme
Assessed as competent to fulfill the function of Controls Systems Technician
Demonstrated Knowledge / Skills
Thorough knowledge of DCS and PLC Controls Systems Design, Management and maintenance.
Thorough knowledge of the Electricity at Work Regulations and the IEE Wiring Regulations:
Knowledge of the PCC Maintenance Philosophy, MMS, Safety Critical Elements (SCE's) and the Combined Written Scheme for Examination and Verification of SCE's.
