Robert Walters OWNER'S TEAM - MAJOR COAL PROJECT With numerous operating assets locally this global mining house is currently developing a major project in Australia. This will be a high value and complicated coal project, marked as crucial to the future of the business, and is currently moving from PFS into Feasibility. Given this advancement and project backing a team of senior professionals is sought to join the Project Development Division and report to the Project Engineering Manager in the corporate head office. Whilst the key focus of the position will be to advance this specific project the company is currently progressing other assets with the intention of new Green and Brownfield projects coming on line in the near future. In addition we are recruiting a key leadership role for the Project Development Division, please contact us for more information. Principal Underground Mechanical Engineer This position will be responsible for coordinating all relevant UG plant design and selection ensuring coal movement from longwall mine face to surface operations runs effectively, reliably and to optimum capacity. You will work closely with the external engineering provider to complete a thorough scoping and design study while coordinating the planned project development of this challenging element of the project. The role has been designed for an experienced mechanical professional with demonstrated experience managing underground coal plant design and selection work. Currently working for an owner or engineering/EPCM firm you will be familiar with the complex nature of underground longwall coal mining. The above position represents an opportunity to make a considerable difference to a major project and a mine's ultimate success, working with some of the industry's leading project and engineering specialists.
