Our client is a successful base metal production company, with an operating underground mine in Australia and other major international projects. The companies current goal is to produce more than 300,000 tonnes of zinc and lead metal in concentrate per annum. Our client has a clear focus on base metal projects with low capital and operating costs while incorporating the highest standards of sustainability and environmental protection. They currently seek the services of an experienced Resident Manager to head up their operation in South Australia.
This person will be responsible for the efficient, timely and cost effective ongoing development and production of the underground mining operation. You will be able to demonstrate management skills in previous roles that ensure key performance outcomes are achieved. You will have a proven track record of high Health, Safety and Environmental standards. You will be able to implement procedures that ensure the site is operating safely and is compliant with state and federal legislation. The Resident Manager will be site based and will play a leading role in expanding the mine’s output and resources.

The successful applicant will:

* Have a relevant Mining Engineering (or similar) qualification
* Have an Underground Mine Managers Certificate of Competency
* Be able to demonstrate strong leadership and people management attributes
* Have a minimum of 10 years experience at mine management level with accountability for underground production and milling performance

We are seeking a professional, influential manager with sound financial and business acumen, excellent planning skills and the ability to drive success.
Remuneration will be negotiated but will be commensurate with experience and industry standards.
