Coeur Alaska is recruiting Mine Supervisor for the Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska. We are seeking talented candidates who have the ability to motivate employees and work effectively to achieve Company goals and objectives for a world class underground gold mine.
Responsibilities:
> Supervises underground mine development and production crews.
> Encourages and fosters a team environment by coaching employees on safe operations.
> Comply with and coach the highest environmental standards.
> Ensures proper utilization of human resources and mining equipment in an effort to optimize safe and efficient production.
> Ensures that performance expectations and proficiency standards are met consistently.
> Tracks and evaluates employee performance and job assignments.
> Works collaboratively with cross shift supervisors and employees to ensure that equipment and tasks are properly set-up for the next crew.
> Maintains shift log books and communicates effectively with employees and other departments.
> Provide consistency in the application of Company policies, procedures, and work loads to ensure the safety of employees.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years as an underground mine supervisor or 10 plus years working as an experienced miner preferred and a current MSHA certification. Candidates must be able to work independently and accept responsibility, communicate effectively and be tactful and professional.
