CHIEF MINING ENGINEER
Reporting to the Mine Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Ø Managing the planning and design of the mine and mine structures.
Ø Managing the technical elements of production to ensure that the systems and processes are
supporting the production output goals.
Ø Producing budgets and forecasts for production.
Ø Managing and providing guidance to the employees in the engineering group.
The candidate will have a university degree in mining engineering or an equivalent engineering
degree and be a registered professional engineer or eligible for such registration. Five to eight years
of mine operation and engineering experience is required as well as a minimum of three years
experience in a leadership role.
Alexco maintains camp facilities in Elsa, Yukon, where employees and contractors are housed. This
position is based in Elsa and the rotation schedule is 14 days on and 14 days off. Alexco provides
