Maintenance Inspector Mountain Pass, CA, USA

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This individual will develop and perform inspections of the plants rotating and fixed equipment in a safe and efficient manner. They will work in a team environment to build a “World Class” style maintenance organization using advanced inspection techniques. They will develop predictive and preventative maintenance procedures to enable the plant to meet its reliability goals. They will participate in the Root Cause Failure Analysis, planning and scheduling programs of the maintenance department. They also work closely with the operations group to ensure all equipment is performing satisfactory. They will be directing the area mechanics and lubricators.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (essential position functions):
 Develop predictive and preventative maintenance procedures and set up 5 year inspection plans.
 Perform routine inspections of equipment using vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic and the 4 senses.
 Perform examinations of work areas and monitors compliance with MSHA regulations and company policies.
 Supervise hourly employees in a union environment.
 Assist in the training and development maintenance mechanics.
 Assist with designing mechanical equipment, facilities, components, products and systems for industrial purposes.
 Process documentations for compliance with health, safety and environmental compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
5 years of industrial mechanical repair experience and 5 years of supervisory experience
