My client is currently progressing and growing rapidly in the Western region and requires an experienced Senior Mine Planning Engineer to join their Perth based team. They operate a multi-billion dollar iron ore mine in Western Australia's Pilbara region and are looking for experienced people to hit the ground running.

The role:

• Providing detailed mine plans and schedules to support the medium term mine planning of the mine. Mine planning will include multi pit mining.
• Liaising closely with both the site operations planning teams and the strategic mine planning team,
• Designing and scheduling of backfill and waste dump development,
• Preparation of costed and resourced mine plans to be used in the preparation of operating budgets,
• Site visits as required.

To be successful you will have:

• Proven experience in mine planning software such as Vulcan,
• Exposure to iron ore mining,
• Strong operational background,
• • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
