Maersk Oil Kazakhstan is currently looking for a Head of Construction to work in our Projects and Engineering Department, based in Aktau, Kazakhstan.

 Main duties and responsibilities:

• ·         Management of Contractors for construction activities within the area of civil work, roads, well pads, power plant and power distribution, brown field process modification and new process facilities.

• ·         Management of all construction activities from planning, preparation work, construction, commissioning and hand-over to operation of multi discipline civil, oil & gas work.
• ·         Interact with designers and issue “fit for purpose” engineering work optimizing construction activities. Engineering and construction activities shall meet local as well as international codes and standards.
• ·         Proactive within HSSEQ
• ·         Be familiar with stakeholder management incl. approval processes
• ·         Implement safety and operational procedures
• ·         Proactive in coordination of field activities such as drilling, logistic, construction
• ·         Ensure planning and progress reporting with associated follow-up
• ·         Management of office staff and field supervision up to 35 persons
• ·         Fluent English
