THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a major international oil & gas company to provide a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Vessel and Tanks, with onshore experience in LNG Liquefaction and Gas Processing. Permanent position based in Houston. Attractive terms of employment. This vacancy is being handled by our Houston office.
THE PERSON
5+ years engineering experience in the Design of Pressure Vessels and Atmospheric Storage Tanks. Experience in companies providing engineering services to the Chemical, Refining and Petrochemical industry. Experience must cover the area of Conceptual Engineering, FEED, Detail Design and Consultation. Design and specify major equipment such as Horizontal and Vertical vessels Subject to process Pressure (Scrubbers, Drums and mechanical separators), Columns or Towers, Spherical vessel, bulk vertical storage tanks, etc. Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Minimum BS in Mechanical Engineering. In-depth knowledge of pressure vessel and Atmospheric Tank. Familiar with the ANSI, ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, AISI, NACE and OSHA standards. Able to perform calculations with, and experience in using software such as COMPRESS for Pressure Vessels and TANK for Atmospheric Tanks design. Able to use CADD to produce vessel drawings. Possess knowledge of following standards, among others: ASME, Section VIII, Div 1 & 2; API 650; API 620. Technical report writing skills. Efficient in Windows, Excel and MS Word. Works well independently. Excellent team work and communication skills. Fluent written and spoken English. Eligible to live and work in the USA.
