Job descriptionReports to: Shift Supervisor
Basic Function and Scope:
Monitors and coordinates the designated operation from Control Panel, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Includes maintaining continuous contact with various areas of the entire Plant to keep them informed of overall operating conditions. The designated operations include LNG Train, SRU/Fractionation, Utilities and Inlet Receiving/Storage and Loading.
Tasks and Duties:
Monitors via terminals and alarms, the operation of the designated area and coordinates process activities according to instructions received and production requirements. Includes continuous monitoring of instruments and equipment, making field adjustments according to process parameters as required.
Maintains continuous radio contact with Rover and Senior Operators to keep them informed of operating conditions to request manual adjustments of equipment, to carry out on-site readings and convey instructions given by Shift Supervisor.
Maintains continuous liaison with other Panel Operators to coordinate the required supplies according to production conditions.
Alters operating conditions or product flows to allow prior isolation of equipment for maintenance and re-commences operations according to procedures, following completion of maintenance. Keeps himself aware of ongoing maintenance work by reviewing permit to work records/logs.
Communicates with the Panel Operators of other areas to coordinate operations that may affect the operation and/or production of any unit within the Plant. Includes informing each other of changes and synchronizing activities to minimize loss of production.
Determines developing trends in operating conditions, reporting significant changes and initiating action as required.
Is focal communications point between Shift Supervisor/Superintendent and outside operators during emergency situations.
Responsible for the support of Company Safety, environment and Quality policies and programs, and carrying out specific duties and responsibilities related to his job as spelled out in Management system documentation, policies, procedures, local documentation, Management System Manual, Safety Manual and other related documents.
Carries out similar or related duties such as assisting in maintaining shift log; initiating emergency procedures as required and complying with safety rules and regulations.
Work Contact:
Internal contacts on a frequent basis at own level and slightly higher level to provide operating instructions and information. On a frequent basis has a contact with other Panel Operators and with maintenance to coordinate shutdowns and isolation for maintenance purposes.
Independence of Operation:
Works according to established operational procedures and standards. Must use own initiative in taking process corrective action and in acting accordingly during emergencies. Completed work is subject to spot-check by supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Provides work directions to lower level operators.
Physical Effort:
20% - Slight physical effort, mainly seated in Main Control Room.
Work Environment:
100% - Air-conditioned environment.

Job Descriptions, Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Control Safe Start-Up, Normal and Shutdown operations by DCS as per established procedures/ operating manuals and good industry practices.
Will be interfacing directly with the Owner provided operators, as an integrated team, in the execution of commissioning and operating activities.
Responsible for Control and Monitoring of operating conditions by DCS of related facilities during the Shift.
Check –up process conditions by DCS and check-up product qualities by laboratory data.
Request field operators to check the facility and equipment conditions and to adjust the proper conditions in field operations.
Change operating conditions by DCS for adjustment of scheduled quantity of production.
Provide the daily production report by DCS terminal.
RequirementsMinimum Requirements:
Completion of Secondary (12 years) education, followed by 1 year' formal training.
7 years' experience as plant operator and/or panel operator in the oil/gas industry, including at least 2 years in a plant control room.
Good command of English and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely on the LNG Plant radio network.
Minimum 15 Years experience plus in Oil & Gas Plant Operation which include 4 Years as a Panel Operator.
Experience in Commissioning, Start-up, and Shut-down, Trouble shooting and Emergency Handling of Process Operations of facilities in charge.
Much experience in and familiar with DCS process operation.
Proactive, Strategic thinker with Analytical skills
Demonstrated Leadership and outstanding communications skills
To have technical vocabulary and good level in English
