Key Accountabilities   Your nominal duties as Operations Manager will include but not be limited to: ·         Managing the site operations at Lumwana, primarily the mine, process plant maintenance programs and planning activities (mine and maintenance); ·         In conjunction with the Managing Director, execute Barrick’s strategy for the Lumwana asset, and evaluate and develop organic expansion opportunities. ·         Ensure maintenance programs are optimal and in line with contracts and best practice; ·         Ensure efficient and timely planning is undertaken at the mine; ·         Building and maintaining a skilled local team of employees capable of operating Lumwana efficiently and to a high standard; ·         Ensuring planned output is delivered to customers on specification; ·         Ensuring all assets and equipment are maintained to high standards, including infrastructure managed by contractors; ·         Ensuring all operations are managed with the highest regard to Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainable Development; and ·         Provide for the training and development of employees.   Key Duties/Tasks   ·         Provide motivation and leadership to employees to promote a professional, vigorous and safe working environment, to ensure adherence to all regulatory and industry standard working practices and to maintain order and housekeeping at the highest level. ·         Develop procedures, job designs and job descriptions for the surface workforce. ·         Supervise, train and assist employees and other personnel in their duties.
