Experienced Mill Operator north of Juneau, Alaska, USA
Coeur Alaska is recruiting an Experienced Mill Operator located at the Kensington Gold Mine, presently under construction, located 45 miles north of Juneau, Alaska.
Essential Functions:
> Responsible for safe operation of feeders, crushers, conveyors, grinding mills, flotation cells, pumps, slurry flows, sampling, reagents, thickeners, and tools.
> Safely operates the Crushing Circuit, Grinding Circuit, Flotation Circuit, Thickeners, Filtration, Flocculant Mixing & addition, and Reagent Mixing & addition.
> Observes Mill production monitoring equipment to ensure safety and efficient operations.
> Records operational and production data on specified forms.
> Transfers materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using mobile equipment, overhead crane, and hand tools.
> Cleans up spillage, maintains machinery, equipment, materials, and products.
> Responsible for complying with Coeur Alaska Inc’s environmental and safety policies.
Experience: 3-5 years experience in a process plant and MSHA certification. Previous experience with flotation and gravity concentration preferred. The successful candidates must demonstrate safe work practices, effective interpersonal relationships, initiative, problem solving skills; and effective verbal and written communications skills. The successful candidate is required to lift frequently - up to 50lbs. Requires manual dexterity – must have the ability to: constantly bend, reach, use hand tools, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, walk, and stand on a variety of work surfaces.
This position is required to work a 2 week on 1 week off rotation (rotating shifts). We offer a competitive wage and benefits package. Coeur Alaska Inc. is a drug free work place. The successful candidate must pass a post offer physical, and drug screening.
