GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION   Responsibilities include:  Responsibilities include providing leadership, coaching and training and oversight for all Safety and Health activities and programs at the Goldstrike Mine Site.  Duties to include audits, inspections, incident investigations, incident prevention and employee interactions; Duties to include full support and cooperation with relevant site activities and personnel (Underground, Process, and Open Pit).  Further exemplary teamwork, collaboration and communication with all Safety, Health & Security Divisional personnel are expected.  All duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in full alignment with current operational and compliance standards while continuing to improve and build upon current high performances and expectations.  

SELECTION CRITERIA

  BASIC REQUIREMENTS:  To be considered for this job, applicants must meet these basic requirements:   ·         Bachelor’s or Associate-level degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field preferred ·         Previous surface and underground mining experience preferred ·         Previous training experience preferred and MSHA instructor experience a plus ·         Prior knowledge and/or experience in industrial hygiene and MSHA regulations preferred ·         Ability to speak in front of varied, dynamic groups of people required ·         Good communication and computer skills and demonstrated ability to problem-solve required ·         Ability to work with and communicate well with all levels of management as well as federal agencies required ·         Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding work environment required ·         Ability to perform the essential functions of this position required
