Description and Desired Qualifications
CH2M HILL Associate Drafter Jobs - Anchorage, AK
The Challenge? Helping ensure the supply of our world's oil and gas supply. At CH2M HILL, we deliver solutions that span the entire breadth of the oil and gas industry. Our Associate Drafter position will provide you with the opportunity to grow your professional career with one of the most admired companies in North America. Each day you will have an opportunity to learn valuable drafting and documentation skills from some of the best CAD technologists in Anchorage.
Our Associate Drafter:
- Prepares simple engineering and construction drawings from sketches or verbal instructions
- Prepares drawings from markups, sketches, charts and tables
- Performs related fundamental engineering support tasks such as updating computer lists, filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations and proofreading reports
- Utilizes information from vendor prints, catalogs and technical manuals
- Supports field assignments as required
- Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes as required
SPECIAL NOTE: Preference will be given to applicants residing in the greater Anchorage area. CH2M Hill will not sponsor a work visa (e.g. H1B visa, etc.,) to fill this position.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- One year (1) experience in recent basic AutoCad drafting/technology including school experience
- Working knowledge of fundamental AutoCad applications
- Proficient computer skills commensurate with program and job applications
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the basic qualifications, the ideal candidate will also possess the following preferred qualifications:
- Two year Associates Degree in CADD drafting or related field
- Knowledge of Alyeska drafting standards is preferred
