THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a major international oil and gas company to provide a Document Controller to define / implement strategy of documentation management from beginning of project until hand over to Operations / Archives and to develop a project EDMS. Residential position in Paris area for one year. Excellent rates.
THE PERSON
Previous experience in a similar role. Proven organisational skills. Implement, modify and maintain EDMS so as to manage flow of documents. Prepare handover of project documentation to Operations and to file documents in the archives. Analyse documents produced to check compliance with project standards regarding numbering, graphic charts and symbology. Check progress of contractors document production, submission dates, actual / planned and completed, in coordination with Project Control Leader / Project Manager. Provide Project Control Leader with information required for weekly / monthly reporting. Liaise closely with contractors DC staff concerning document control and EDMS. Organise project EDMS from definition of requests to contractors until delivery to Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Well educated with fluent written and spoken English. Provide EDMS training, advice and support to all project staff at all project locations. Ensure project correspondence / technical documents, produced internally or by EPC contractors, are in accordance with project procedures. Excellent working knowledge of document and data control. Previous experience in multinational taskforce environment with good communication skills. Eligible to live and work in France.
