Purchasing Agent/Warehouse Supervisor (PW Supervisor) is required for our Open Pit Copper Mine. The operation is located 20km from Princeton, BC located in south central British Columbia’s Similkameen Country approximately 3.5 hours by road east of Vancouver, BC.
Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Administration Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring purchasing and warehouse functions are completed in a safe and cost-effective manner, while serving as the supervisor for warehouse personnel.
• In accordance with Company Policy and Procedures the PW Supervisor will be responsible for all phases of the acquisition process, ensuring Copper Mountain receives the best possible value on commitments made to suppliers.
• All Warehousing and Inventory Management ensuring continued asset control and high customer service levels including but not limited to the shipping, receiving, disposition, controlling and disposal of company acquired goods.
Qualifications
• Post Secondary Diploma in Business or SCMP designation preferred
• Minimum 15 years in Mining Warehousing and Inventory Management
• Strong communication, negotiation and resolution skills
• Sound computer skills in IBM-Maximo 7.5, MS Office Management systems
• Proven team management and coaching skills
• Comprehension of budget preparation and cost management
