Cliffs are currently seeking an experienced IT Manager who has the ability to think strategically and has a passion for driving IT related projects. Based in Perth, this is a pivotal position within the business as they will be responsible for ensuring the streamlined operation of the IT Department for the Asia Pacific region. This individual will need to be a highly effective communicator as they will be required to coordinate and lead the IT Team to provide an efficient support service for the business as the company continues to grow and expand.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities will include:

• Leading and directing the Asia Pacific IT department to ensure the business continues operating to a high standard
• Actively participating in department operational and strategic planning, including: business requirements, project planning, and organising the allocation of resources
• Formulating, communicating and deploying strategic plans for the management team and staff and ensuring IT and Business units are aligned
• Planning, coordinating and implementing the mine site data platform technologies, interface methodologies and cost effective solutions
• Ensuring all IT workflow processes, data and reporting needs are met within a timely manner
• Ensuring that helpdesk and project management systems are used and updated appropriately

The successful candidate will need to possess the following:

• Substantial experience in a similar position
• Strong ability and experience in leading, coordinating and directing a team
• Solid technical knowledge of networking, process control and software technologies
• Proven experience in IT strategic planning and development including systems design and implementation
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• High level of integrity and respect
• Strong team oriented focus
