Description

The Project Administrator will play a key role in keeping IT projects coordinated, project and portfolio information available and up-to-date for multiple uses, and supporting the IT Project Managers. The Project Administrator will work very closely in supporting the IT Resource Manager with information on project resource demand and utilization. The Project Administrator will support the IT Project Managers with knowledge and education on IT Project Management processes and use of the Program and Project Management tool: Microsoft Project Server 2010 (MSPS). The Project Administrator will maintain the configuration and settings of MSPS and will be the main contact for reporting and report set-up.

Maintain MSPS, including, at a minimum:

• Managing users, groups, and categories.
• Customizing Project Web App to fit the specific needs of your organization.
• Managing workflows.
• Managing enterprise data (custom fields, calendars, views, etc.).
• Managing queue settings for your specific environment.
• Managing time and task tracking.
• Configuring Active Directory synchronization to security groups and resources
• Business Intelligence reports and views for users to "self-serve"

• Provide customize reporting to the PMO Director, Resource Manager, and CIO as needed.

• Maintain the library of IT Project Management (PM) documentation

• Conduct training on IT PM tools and processes, as needed.

Education:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
• Professional designation in project management (e.g. Microsoft Project Certified, Certified Associate of Project Management- CAPM, or PMP) a big plus.

Experience:

• 3-5 years working in an Information Technology or Project Management environment.
• Strategic planning and analysis, ability to work in high stress situations with corporate partners, negotiating ability and diplomacy skills are necessary.
