Overview
We are currently seeking an OHS Advisor to join our OHS &S Team. This role provides support to the OHSS department by promoting and maintaining the respective OHS management systems at Cowal Gold Mine.
 
The Position

• Manage and maintain CGM’s Health and Safety Standards
• Administer the Site General Induction
• Manage and maintain OHSS Policy administration
• Manage and maintain the CGM OHS Systems and Program compliance
• Manage the close out of Health and Safety Audit action findings
• Undertake Incident Investigations and action close out
• Manage and maintain the Contractor Management Program
• Perform audits on CGM’s programs

The Person

• Formal qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Injury Management or related discipline or progress towards same
• Experience in a similar role preferably in a mining, construction or engineering environment
• Excellent communication, customer service, time management and organisational skills
• Strong computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems e.g. RIMS, word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications
• Ability to prepare and present reports and to communicate effectively with the workforce
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
