Job description:

Works under the direction of the Business Analyst on the following special projects in the Finance department:

  • Assist in data gathering and analysis on a variety of areas that are key to functionality of the plant. They will examine our levels of operating supplies, expenditures on freight, demurrage costs, and several other projects as well.
  • Help in developing forecasting and daily management tools. The intern will be responsible for building automation into spreadsheets used by all areas of the operation and improving our existing processes.
  • Assist in meeting audit requirements. The intern will be responsible for assisting in completion of our physical inventory and other tasks in preparation for our audit.
  • Revise Department formulas. They will assist the Casthouse Department in updating the standards used for our different products.
    Become familiar with aspects of an Aluminum Smelting operation.
Pursuing BA or MA degree in Accounting - with a minimum 3.0 GPA and some experience in data analysis. Familiar with MS Excel.Previous work experience is a plus, with knowledge of reliability systems and principles. Good analytical problem solving abilities coupled with strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
