Description

This contractor position will be located in Arequipa, Peru for 2+ years

• Develop, implement and maintain effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the project.
• Work closely with Controls Team, provide forecast reports, and drive variance analysis process on Project to Date Expenditures.
• Reconciliation of Project Expenditure data between Contractor and Owner on a periodic basis and ensure that variances are explained.
• Lead in reporting and analysis of key performance metrics and analysis, and maintain the KPI dashboard to provide Project Director with visibility on progress.
• Routinely communicate financials and operational performance trends, historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics. 
• Identify trends, resulting implications, key actions and strategic implications.
• Manage a team of Financial Analysts.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or closely related field and seven (7) years of broad-based accounting/reporting experience, including supervisory or management experience
• Travel capabilities within South America, to/from South America & North America.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA.
• 7+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably with strong exposure to operations.
• Excellent analytical skills, general accounting, and corporate reporting, financial acumen.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required in order to interact independently with various levels of management across the company.
• Strong organizational skills, highest standards of accuracy and precision.
• Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
• Experience with general ledgers and budgeting software required.  SAP + Business Objects Tools considered a plus.
• Bilingual capabilities in English/Spanish.

Criteria/Conditions

• Work is mostly performed in an office setting.  Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds during the course of the workday
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required.
