Here is your exciting opportunity to join a well-established principal mining company!

Our client currently operates at a number of mine sites throughout Western Australia and are committed to developing a strong safety culture.

At present they have an urgent a requirement for an experienced Underground Safety Officer to be based at their Nickel site, in the Gold Fields region. On offers is a great FIFO roster or a residential based position the choice is yours!

Some key responsibilities include:
* Assist in the development and fostering of a proactive safety culture
* Conduct underground auditing and inspections
* Assist in accident investigations, audits and ensure safety issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently
* Implement and facilitate on site safety programs to on site staff and contractors
* Manage and coordinate reports, document inductions, safety policies and safe work procedures
* Management and maintain the site health & safety management system

To be successful in your application you will possess a strong safety knowledge and background. You will also have a passionate and positive attitude towards work place safety. Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent are essential combined with experience in the underground safety environment in a safety capacity.
