Cost Engineer

Our client are a leading project management and engineering contractor who are involved in one of the largest and most prestigious mining projects in the Southern Hemisphere. They are looking to expand their site team on this major mine expansion project south of Perth.

They are looking for a Cost Engineer with a minimum of 2 years project experience ideally within an EPCM environment. You will need to be comfortable with all aspects of cost control including forecasting costs, verifying and processing progress claims, measuring and reporting progress, reporting on monthly costs and building and maintaining a commercial relationship with contractors. Experience working in the mining sector is an advantage but our client would also consider relevant experience in the oil and gas sector.

This is a contract position involving a 52-hour week between Monday to Friday. It is a drive in/drive out role where you will be provided with full board en-suite accommodation on site, and will be given a travel allowance to assist with transport costs to and from the project. Our client are looking to pay a generous remuneration for the right candidate.
