Our client is one of the worlds largest integrated lead and zinc companies, and is looking for a Safety, Health & Environment Superintendent to join them on a permanent residential basis at their mine on the west coast of Tasmania. The successful applicant willpossess five years industry Health, Safety and/or Environmental Management or related experience with relevant tertiary qualifications.

As the Safety, Health & Environment Superintendent you will be responsible for assisting the SHE Manager to implement and operate integrated Safety, Health and Environmental management systems and site-specific standards, policies and procedures. As such the successful candidate will require knowledge of legislative requirements for a process plant, knowledge of loss control methodologies and auditing processes, competency in strategic planning, annual planning/budget control and understanding of cost management principles and cost drivers in the business.

In return for committing to a minimum of three years at this location, the successful applicant will receive a competitive renumeration package includingbonus incentive scheme, superannuation, rent subsidy and relocation (subject to eligibility). Moreover, you will be located within a well serviced community with a hospital and two schools which is a mere stones throw away from the world-renowed natural heritage area of Cradle Mountain National Park.
