Our Client located in Sudbury is currently looking for an Engineering Manager to add to their growing organization. The main function of this position is to provide leadership for engineering disciplines within the Sudbury office to ensure provision of the best project development, set-up, quality and delivery through active engagement of global practices.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Business Units
Ensure communication between all Engineering staff
Support Business Units to prepare proposals for consulting, Business Unit projects and operations support work
Ensure implementation of staff policies to achieve business targets, including management of as-hired multipliers
Ensure appointment of key staff to consulting, Business Unit project and operations support work and ensure there are sufficient resources allocated to the projects
Ensure applicable engineering standards are communicated to the engineering team and documented
Ensure progress, quality indicators and project reviews are planned, implemented and reported for consultancy, Business Unit projects and operations support work
Ensure engineering risk assessments and HAZOPS are carried out and all identified issues are addressed
Requirements:
Engineering degree
Licensed in the province of Ontario
10+ years of experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience in mining, heavy industrial
Project Management experience
Must be able to set a plan and manage to it
