Senior Human Resources Advisor - Learning and Development

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you be responsible for coordinating training and development activities that are aligned with company and legislative requirements as well as industry best practice. Your provision of up-to-date timely advice and guidance to line management and employees will contribute to the safe and successful operation and growth of the BMA business.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Effective communication between Operational Departments.
* Ensuring compliance with the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999
* Continuous improvement of the sites competency based training systems
* Leading the effective utilisation of Simulators on the site
* Providing assistance and coaching to managers and supervisors on Learning and Development initiatives.
* Working with stakeholders to foster a co-operative, continuous improvement business environment.
* Supporting functional departments by providing timely and accurate L&D related information and advice.
* Communicating and implementing company policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be required to have:

* A thorough understanding of safety legislation and regulations.
* Certificate IV training & assessment skill or higher.
* Previous solid training experience in a mining environment is essential.
* A proven track record in Safety Management and Safety Leadership.
* Respected leadership abilities.
* Heavy industry & equipment knowledge.
* Computer literacy - MS Office, project suite & SAP, Chemalert & SGS.
* A proven track record of budgeting and scheduling along with implementation of refresher training and identified training needs.

Serious contenders will be proficient in the implementation of training management systems, development and delivery of training programs, facilitating and influencing cultural change, benchmarking and team development. Along with your technical ability, you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills and be able to present to groups of all sizes confidently and professionally.
