Training Advisor

Position Synopsis

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Training Advisor to coordinate training and development activities within the Processing Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Planning & Development Supt - you will provide up-to-date advice and guidance to line management and employees to ensure Processing Maintenance personnel are competent to perform their required tasks in a safe manner.

Your core accountabilities will include:

• Developing training plans to meet the Processing Maintenance plan, based on training needs analysis.

• Designing and implementing a competency based levels structure for technicians.

• Reviewing and managing the development of training materials, modules and methodologies for delivery on the job and occupational training.

• Providing guidance and assistance in the development and delivery of external training services.

• Providing support and mentoring for training officers and workplace trainers and assessors.

• Monitoring and auditing training completion.

• Developing statistical analysis for reporting.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role you must have completed or be working towards a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. A thorough understanding of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and regulations is required. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or experience in a mining and heavy engineering environment will be highly regarded.

Serious contenders will be proficient in the implementation of training management systems, development and delivery of training programs, facilitating and influencing cultural change, benchmarking and team development. You should also have proven administration and coordination skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP. Along with your technical ability, you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills and be able to present to groups of all sizes confidently and professionally.
