Project Manager - Assistant

Our client, a multinational and diverse organisation has an immediate requirement for a Project Manager – Assistant for their operations in Ghana, Africa. You will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Maintenance and Repair Contract including the management of resources allocated to maintain the equipment under contract.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Ensuring that all work is carried out with a high degree of safety
* Effectively control day-to-day support activities to ensure all Maintenance and Repair Contract (MARC) obligations are met
* Assisting in the Management of contract repairs, as required by the dedicated MARC site fitters and / or sub-contractors
* Closely monitoring equipment performance to ensure machine availability and productivity guarantees are being achieved
* Assisting in the development of strategies to reduce maintenance costs
* Demonstrating the Company’s commitment to be pro-active in implementing cost reduction initiatives within the mining industry
* With the assistance of the Liebherr Product Specialists, follow up on all technical and product quality problems through the correct OEM channels
* Ensuring the Company’s structured training and development program is adhered to

To be considered for this role it is essential that you possess the following:

* Mechanical Trade Qualifications
* Experience in the management of maintenance to mobile mining equipment
* Experience with the management of MARC agreements
* Successful negotiation skills
* Computer literacy skills
