The Company…

Establishing itself as a significant precious commodity producer, this firm has undertaken an aggressive nationwide growth strategy to secure its long term success. This tactic has seen the development of new and existing projects that have been or will be successfully brought into production. With a strong portfolio to include current operations, developments and exploration targets, current success has been brought about through the contributions of a high calibre team.

The Operation…

This project takes a critical position in the company portfolio and possesses current resources totalling over 6 million ounces. Development of a new decline has begun and will reach target depth by mid 2008.

will be extracted from underground and open pit resources with the initial expected production rate of 600ktpa and 1mtpa respectively. A comprehensive resource drilling campaign will be carried out with expected target generation to extend mine life beyond the current 12 years.

Your Role…

The initialisation of this project has eagerly anticipated by investors and management. Your role will involve management of all commercial and operational business objectives whilst providing public representation and ensuring a positive outcome for all stakeholders.

A company-wide perspective is required with consideration of your operation in context with company objectives. You will be provided with access to technical support and infrastructure from head office to facilitate your success.

Your Qualifications…

This role will see you establish yourself as a key contributor to the firm’s success and be provided with the scope to develop yourself to COO level. Due to the critical nature of this position and its timing with respect to company growth you will need experience as a current General Manager of a similar sized operation.

As the successful candidate it is likely you come from a Mining Engineering background with a strong operational focus in your work history. This will ideally be coupled with a highly developed commercial sense and interpersonal skills.

The salary package is structured to include a base plus superannuation and a generous two tiered bonus scheme with significant and realistic reward potential. Scope for career growth in this role reaches beyond this position in the longer term and self development highly encouraged.
