Quality Assurance Manager - Mineral Processing South Africa
Permanent management level position in the Mining sector in the Northern Cape, 170km West of Kimberley in South Africa (Northern Cape). Benefits: Medical Aid, Pension. This is an Employment Equity (Affirmative Action) position.
One of the world’s largest lime producers, operating a processing plant and mining operation, is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager.
This position will be based in the Northern Cape approximately 170km west of Kimberley.
The town has a population of approximately 7000 people and offers a primary school, library, shopping centre, hospital/ clinic and excellent sport and recreation facilities.
The successful candidate will assist the production and mining teams to continuously supply customers with products conforming to agreed specifications.
BSc Chemistry/ Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
An understanding of the ISO 9001 standards system is necessary
Previous experience in analytical techniques such as the XRF advantageous
Proven ability to utilise personal analysis of industry trends to make forward-thinking decisions
Ability to function as part of a committed team
Excellent interpersonal skills
An understanding of the cement/ lime manufacturing process will be advantageous
