HSEC Advisor

Reporting To Manager – HSEC
Role Objective The primary function of the role is to provide HSEC support to the company’s Asia-Region country operations and assist the HSEC Manager manage HSEC activities.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Strategy
Our Client is involved in undertaking exploration activities in a number of countries including Russia, the FSU/ CIS and China. As a member of the Asian department, you will be responsible for providing HSEC support and advice to the FSU/ China team and supporting the wider HSEC team in meeting the business requirements.
The FSU/ China HSEC Coordinator will be responsible for providing advice on health, safety, environment and community relation matters.
Provide assistance to the HSEC team to implement the company's integrated global HSEC Management System into all FSU/ China activities.
Provide expert guidance for the health & safety component of the HSEC Management System.
Participating in the development and review of country risk register, project management plans and induction and training materials.
Provide training and induction to FSU/ China team and maintain records of all training provided.
Provide assistance to FSU/ China activities with the application of the HSEC Management System compliant with ISO 14001 requirements.

Projects
Provide assistance to the HSEC Manager developing and implementing the company's integrated global HSEC Management System into all company country operations.
Regional expert guidance for the safety component of the HSEC Management System.
Advice and assistance to the company’s country operations on HSEC management with an emphasis on safety issues.
Provide assistance to company country operations with the application of the HSEC
Management System compliant with ISO 14001 requirements.
Recommend and report against annual HSEC Plans and Budgets.
Continually monitor (through audit and reporting), evaluate and implement HSEC system improvements.
In the absence of the HSEC Manager, provide supervision and support to the HSEC Administrator.

Technical
Recommend HSEC objectives and priorities for the company.
Monitor HSEC systems to effectively measure:
- Country operations HSEC performance;
- Consistent implementation and interpretation of policies and procedures;
- Training in the implementation and application of policies and procedures.

Customers
The Regional HSEC team – including country based HSEC personnel.
The company Management team – including country managers

Skills & Experience
Qualifications in at least one of the areas of responsibility;
Relevant HSE experience;
Recognised management skills;
Demonstrated system design and implementation;
Communications skills to include cross-cultural sensitivity;
Computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft packages;
Self motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Russian language;
Able to work within a small team with minimal supervision;
Well develop time management skills - able to manage several tasks simultaneously in a well organised, analytical, accurate and co-ordinated manner;
Knowledge in computer skills including knowledge of the Internet and the ability to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Outlook;
Understanding of HSEC Systems.
