Large base metals mine in the Pilbara is seeking to appoint a U/G Mine Manager. This is an owner mining operation offering an attractive career path with a global company. This position reports directly to the Mine Manager and directs a workforce of several hundred. This position will require you to work as the Alternate Mine Manager on occasion. The roster is an 8/6 FIFO Perth and offers a very attractive salary package based on previous experience and success.
In order to be considered for this role you will need to have the following qualifications and experience.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
Holder of a 1st class Western Australian Mine Manager’s certificate
Minimum of five years experience in underground mining operations.
High level of analysis/problem solving, planning and organizing skills
Strong time management skills.
Supervisory experience in an underground mining/operating environment.
High level of computer literacy in the following software:
• Mine planning packages (Mine 2-4D, Datamine, Surpac)
• Microsoft Work and Excel
• Microsoft Access
Demonstrated commitment to the training of all underground mining personnel.
Demonstrated commitment and support of Company Values and Behaviours
Demonstrated commitment to Occupational health and Safety.
