The Client, a major mining company in the Southwestern U.S., is looking for an excellent process metallurgist to manage their SX/EW and leaching department. This is a large operation that needs an experience person looking for a long-term career with plenty of promotional opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Ensure consistent, efficient and effective operation of the SX/EW and leaching facilities at the operation with lowest cost and, above all else, SAFE manner
Provide technical guidance in the facility
Lead the group in compliance with all regulatory requirements: safety, environmental and personnel
Manage the staff of the SX/EW and Leaching departments
Coordinate with the Mining department
Coordinate with laboratory and quality control
Work with scheduling, maintenance, logistics, etc, to ensure the effective operation of the department
Preparation of accurate, reliable and realistic budgets
Promote, encourage and lead training efforts to enable career development of people in the group
Lead the safety program in the group; coordinate with the operation safety personnel
Ability to present technical and operational information to top management, agencies and other senior officials
Benefits:
This is a company with a competitive salary (From $90s to over $100k, DOE), a bonus and very good benefits program.
Selection Criteria
Bachelors degree in metallurgy, chemistry, chemical engineering or similar
At least 5 years experience in SX/EW and leaching
Prefer 10 year of total experience
Computer literate
MUST be legal to work in the U.S. (resident or green-card holder, Canadian or Australian)
