This substantial mining business has recently expanded it's activities and now operates six mines, both open pit and underground.
Two Maintenance Superintendents are required for the Underground mines to supervise daily and longer term activities, and a General Foreman for an Open Pit mine.
Duties include maximising equipment availability, and process and labour efficiency.
In each role you will supervise and co-ordinate installation, fabrication and, repair and maintenance of equipment and machinery, with a staff of up to 60 personnel.
This includes electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulics maintenance in addition to the management of mine assets comprising power generation, compressed air and water facilities.
You will compile daily and monthly maintenance reports; play a key role in maintaining company HSE programmes, and in the training of national staff.
We envisage you will have a minimum 10 years experience in similar mining activities, including Superintendent or General Foreman level responsibilities and hold a degree or tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering.
