Our client is one of the world’s largest zinc and mining companies and due to a recent merger agreement with another significant mining company, our client now has the makings of A VERY SIGNIFICANT GLOBAL MINING HOUSE. They are currently seeking an Asset Manager to join their Tasmanian Operation, which is currently on its way to becoming the largest miner in Tasmania. This position is based in the town of Rosebery. This town is predominately a mining town with a population of approximately 1300 people, situated on the beautiful west coast of Tasmania. Rosebery lies in the shadow of Mount Black and is adjacent to Lake Pieman. The town is the perfect base for excursions to the stunningly beautiful natural wonders of the northwest, such as Cradle Mountain, the Montezuma waterfall, the Franklin River and the magnificent rainforests of the Hellyer Gorge.

Reporting to the General Manager, the purpose of your role as Asset Manager is to manage the administration and engineering associated with design requests and capital projects. Your duty will be to provide these services in accordance with relevant company and Australian standards, and to deliver completed designs that meet customer requirements in a cost effective manner. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise and maintenance support in the form of Engineering investigation and advice.

Successful applicants can reside in Rosebery, Zeehan, Queenstown or Strahan. Alternatively you can have the option of driving from Burnie. In addition a competitive remuneration package including bonus incentive scheme, superannuation, rent subsidy and relocation (subject to eligibility) will be offered.
