Logistics Manager

Our client is an established international exploration and development group which is currently undertaking a number of mining exploration projects in the Pacific Region.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Logistics Manager to take responsibility for procurement and logistics providing high level of proficiency, reliability and stability in the sourcing, supply, distribution, warehousing and maintenance of materials, plant and equipment for the company and its projects. This role offers an outstanding opportunity for a “hands on” person that has excellent people management skills and commitment to best practice OH&S.

In this key role, you will report to the General Manager, reside in Country and be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and compliance fo all supply chain policies, processes and procedures. Other requirements of this position are ensuring that materials, plant and equipment are distributed to the relevant project site locations quickly and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will ideally possess:

* Proven ability and experience in forecast, budgeting and planning systems is essential
* Minimum 10 years experience in a similar role
* University degree or Diploma qualifications would be an advantage
* High level of verbal and written communication skills
* Strong commitment to the company’s mission and values
