One of Australia's best known Mining Engineering & Construction Contractors
Lead role for an experienced Fabrication / Workshop Manager

With a portfolio of major capital projects that spans mining, mineral processing, and oil & gas, this iconic EPCM contractor has the high profile and reputation for project delivery that attracts the best contract personnel in the country.

There are currently two significant mineral sands projects, one green-field and the other brown-field, being undertaken in regional Victoria that have created the demand for experienced construction contractors for an immediate start, and for durations between 6 12 months.

Within this role, you will be responsible for the management of off-site fabrication and assembly works at the project site, the compliance of contractors with schedules and quality and the coordination between contractors and the design office.

Your tack record will most likely include hands-on experience with heavy engineering and manufacturing of machinery for mining or process plants and will include:

A trade background in fabrication or fitting
Demonstrated experience in the management of quality systems
An understanding of document management systems
Co-ordination of trades personnel and supervisory experience.
Clear report writing skills
Understanding of project schedules and particularly the importance of the procurement and material control functions.
