This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mine Manager from a coal or metalliferous background to join a highly successful company at one of their hallmark sites in QLD - an open cut coal mine, producing four and a half million tonnes per annum and employing 450 staff. As the key driver for change and improvements at site, with a number of projects and future plans for expansion, there is opportunity to impact significantly at site level and to really make your mark in the broader organisation.

As Mine Manager, you will be responsible for:

 All aspects of the operation including finance, HSE, coal processing plant, mining operations, technical services and workshop.
 Direct leadership of a team of 8 Superintendents
 People engagement, management and development, fostering a high performing team culture
 Lead major improvements and projects, including an expansion
 Driving strategic direction of the operation in line with overall business strategy

We are looking for:

 An experienced Mine Manager with a background in coal or metalliferous open cut operations
 Demonstrated success in leading an operation of a similar size (300 + staff) and driving site wide improvements
 A dynamic leader, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team
 Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage people at all levels
 Strong commercial acumen, integrity and strategic ability
 Unwavering commitment to safety

Our client offers:

 5/2 Drive In, Drive Out roster from Mackay or Charters Towers on the Queensland coast, however other options may be considered for the right person
