Our client is a large privately held mining company. Due to an aggressive growth strategy and a future IPO, the senior management is looking to recruit a seasoned finance executive who can lay the foundation and lead the group towards an IPO.
Job Description
Reporting to both the Board and key investors you will evaluate the current business model and manage growth opportunities within the organization and of recently acquired entities to ensure successful integration of business operations and legal entities.
You will also help drive change management to streamline business operations and processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the internal organization is prepared in anticipation for an IPO. Working with bankers, lawyers and audit firms you will drive key IPO planning milestones and work towards a predefined IPO timeline. You will also lead all finance operations and take ownership for driving full financial management of this organization. Other responsibilities include:
**Responsible for the strategic, long-range financial planning and control of the Company.
**Provide financial analysis critical in improving the Company's strategic decision-making processes.
**Build business and financial controls and processes and run a budgeting process and internal reporting.
**Articulate the Company strategy and financial performance to the Board of Directors, the financial community, and the Company's shareholders.
**Drive the operations of the business with the Executive Management team and position the company for an IPO.
**Lead all the specific finance, accounting, and investor relations functions for the Company.
**Travel to mine sites to assist in the management and direction of the group’s financial and strategic activities.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify for this role you will be a seasoned finance professional with international accounting qualifications. You will have exceptional leadership skills to drive change and develop efficient internal structures. You will have strong technical skills and previous experience within the Mining Industry will be an added advantage. Strong communication skills will be essential to deal with investors and the wider financial community both in Australia and internationally.
