Position Synopsis

We are looking for an experienced Resourcing/ Recruitment Advisor to join the Perth Resourcing Team at BHP Billiton Iron Ore. This is an exciting opportunity in which to add value to a resourcing function that is currently in a significant growth phase with a vision to not only look to meet immediate business requirements but become a model of resourcing success.

The Resourcing Advisor will play an active role in all aspects of talent attraction, recruitment and selection for Perth based positions of all levels, but primarily for senior appointments within the business. You will participate in the development of best practice local, national and international sourcing strategies and ensure delivery of an effective recruitment service that is aligned with Iron Ore’s business needs. You will be service driven and actively seek to build relationships with key stakeholders within the business to understand and address these requirements.

Successful candidates will have proven experience in recruiting for executive levels roles and in thinking innovatively when recruiting for critical roles across the business and seeking new sourcing avenues. A significant proportion of your role will also require you to support and advise hiring managers in relation to recruitment process and best practice and generally ensuring that we are making the right decisions in relation to our people, the most important asset.
Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in recruitment and selection with exposure to executive level recruitment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience within the resources sector, however internal and agency recruiters from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. You are also required to be proficient in the Microsoft suite of office products with significant exposure to recruitment databases, such as PageUp.

Your ability to multi-task, strong organisational skills, bias for follow-up and a team-oriented mentality are all essential to success. Proactive, credible and influential, you relate well to people at all levels. The ability to build close working partnerships with customers and strong communication and facilitation skills are essential.
