As part of BHP Billiton’s Stainless Steel Material’s Group, Nickel West is the world’s third largest producer of nickel-in-concentrate, providing 16% of global production. Nickel West comprises five outstanding Western Australian-based assets, in terms of operating capability, scale, environmental standards, diversity, technology and development projects.
Mt Keith (MKO) is a world class nickel operation located approximately 900 km north-east of Perth, and contributes around one third of Nickel West's nickel concentrate, utilising the latest technology in mining and mineral processing. Boasting a modern purpose-built facility, the Mt Keith Village has plenty on offer, together with an attractive fly in fly out roster from Perth.

Think Purpose
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Electrical / Instrumentation Team Leader helps to ensure that the assets at Mt Keith are safely and cost effectively maintained to a level that ensures the ongoing delivery of concentrate to meet production requirements, and in doing so, supports Mt Keith by being industry leaders in maintenance.
Think Requirements
The successful applicant will be suitably qualified and have the following:
- “A” Grade Electrical Licence
- HV Switching Certification
- Computer literacy with GSAP and MS Office (word, excel, outlook)
- Advanced communication skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to coach and mentor
- Ability to interpret schematic diagrams
Strong knowledge of mineral processing equipment, GE Fanuc PLC 90/30 & 90,70, Honeywell TDS DCS, Citect, AS3000 standards and Section 5 Mines Regulations is essential.
Candidates with In House Electrical Nominee and Licensed Electrical Installation certification will be highly regarded.
