Think Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Smelter Production, as the Production Superintendent - Acid Plant / Feed Preparation you will be responsible for the production performance of the teams in this fast-paced area.
Think Purpose
You will be accountable for providing production shifts with direction that will in turn assist in achieving budgetary and production targets in the safest manner. You will also be a key leader in the promotion of continuous improvement through improved technology, work practices, maintenance and modifications in the area. Building an integrated relationship with the maintenance teams, along with other internal and external stakeholders you will ensure that the delivery and receipt of products are aligned to meeting production targets.
Your attitude to safety is second to none as is your ability to foster a cooperative team environment by supporting and contributing to the teams in all tasks and applications.
Think Requirements
You will have extensive demonstrated experience with metallurgical processes in a supervisory capacity with a degree qualification advantageous. Your strong leadership and mentoring skills combined with exceptional communication will allow your team to perform to the highest level. Experience with SAP and Six Sigma would be well regarded.
Your technical strengths will be complemented by a proactive attitude and the ability to cope with pressure and maintain flexibility in this dynamic environment.
