The future has never looked more exciting at Olympic Dam; Australia's largest single underground mine and minerals processing operation. A copper/uranium mine, Olympic Dam is located 560 kilometres north of Adelaide and processes ore through to final, refined products of international standing - all on the one site.

Roxby Downs is a modern, fully-equipped township of around 4,500 people which boasts top-class recreational, civic and educational facilities. This is a great place for young professionals to live and work and make their mark - it is also an excellent place for families, with a quarter of the population comprised of school age children. Other facilities and activities include fully equipped gymnasium, sporting clubs and sporting competitions (football, cricket, volleyball, indoor soccer, squash, netball, basketball, tennis, lawn bowls, golf, dirt circuit). There is outdoor activities including, 4WD, camping and Roxby Downs is situated at the door step of the world famous Wilpena Pound.

Think Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager Engineering, you will provide asset-wide leadership in the development and delivery of a portfolio of projects, individually, up to $20m in value. The role requires a strong blend of technical, commercial and relational expertise that brought together can win the respect of exacting clients in an often demanding operational context.

Think Requirements

Your experience has ideally been in a Mining / Manufacturing environment characterized by best practice where you have proven your ability to think and act strategically and implement effectively. Your superior communication and relationship building skills are paramount in ensuring your success in this role. Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, you must feel comfortable in working both with site management, operations personnel and various contractors. Previous experience with BHP Billiton systems will be well regarded.
