Commercial and Compliance Lead

Position Synopsis

Reporting to the Information Technology and Communications (IT&C) Planning and Development Manager you will provide specialist skills to facilitate effective coordination of commercial and compliance requirements relating to the execution of significant programs of work, and to support operational sustainability. As Commercial and Compliance Lead you will manage development of all IT&C budgets, ensuring effective control processes are established.

In consultation with IT&C streams you will review systems and standards to ensure compliance and prepare and manage budgets. Assisting with the execution of the sourcing strategy, you will review and recommend best practise in effective commercial management of all activities undertaken by the IT&C team and manage effective compliance reporting.

Additionally, you will provide support in sourcing appropriate resources in support of IT&C change programs, manage the engagement and performance monitoring of the resources, including System Implementation (SI) partners and vendors, and assess and continuously review commercial and compliance processes to ensure fit for purpose.
Skills and Experience

Demonstrated experience in a similar role, you will be qualified in Information Technology, accounting or an equivalent and have previous experience working on major projects. In addition you will have substantial experience with project management methodologies such as Prince2 and PMBOK, financial management experience and be familiar with SOX requirements. Superior computer skills are a must and exposure to the mining and resources sector is desirable.
