Our client is a niche project and development management consultancy with strong expertise in the development sector covering renewable energy, golf course construction, commercial and residential building, refurbishment and land development. Provided project management services on projects valued up to $75m they have built up an enviable reputation in their market with a range of high-profile clients.
A need has arisen to a Senior Project Manager to join their small Richmond based team to lead and manage a range of projects across all phases of the project life-cycle. The role will cover overall management of the design process, costs and scheduling, safety, environmental impact on quality on a range of land development, golf course construction and renewable energy projects across Australia. Reporting to the General Manager and Managing Director your responsibilities will include
Providing technical, commercial and functional direction to all aspects of project execution Selecting and managing contractors Organise and coordinate secured projects monitoring planning, design, cost, safety, environment and quality Maintaining and building strong working relationships with client Preparation and negotiation of claims and variations Other contract management / administration issues Submission of financial reports, job progress reports and other site performance indicators as requested by the client
You will tertiary qualified, either in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline with at least 5 years experience managing construction works. A strong background in contract management and administration as well as appreciation of design, feasibility and cost management is required as you will manage junior project and development managers within the business and leading the delivery of a number of high-profile, high-value projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a niche, boutique consultancy in a senior level role, working in close consultation. You will a driven and professional project manager looking for a new challenge, ideally with a keen interest and experience in renewable energy, land development or commercial and residential building projects.
